These terms govern your use of CoCoParent, an app published by Common Ground Studio, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
CoCoParent is a tool for co-parents to share a record of a child's day — meals, moods, health notes, milestones, schedules and reminders — across two households. It is a communication and record-keeping aid. It is not a legal service, a medical service, or a substitute for either.
CoCoParent does not provide legal or medical advice. Entries you create are your own records. We make no representation that they will be accepted as evidence in any legal proceeding, and nothing in the app should be relied on in place of advice from a lawyer, doctor, or other qualified professional.
If your family has ever subscribed, you can always read and export everything you recorded — however long ago the subscription lapsed. A lapsed subscription stops you adding new photos and receiving notifications. It does not close the record you already made, and it does not put your child's history behind a payment.
A family that has never subscribed sees the most recent 30 days on the free tier.
Do not use CoCoParent to harass, threaten, or abuse anyone; to store content that is unlawful; or to attempt to gain access to another family's data. We may suspend accounts that do.
The entries, notes, photos and schedules you create remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store and display them to the members of your family within the app. We do not sell your content, and we do not use it for advertising. See the Privacy Policy for how data is handled.
We aim to keep the app running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change or be withdrawn. The app depends on services from Apple, Google and Firebase, and outages in those services will affect it.
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Subscription → Account Removal.
Deleting your account removes you — your name, your access, your sign-in and your notification tokens. It does not erase the family's record, because that record is also your co-parent's history of their own children, often years of it. Entries you wrote stay, attributed to you. When the last member of a family deletes their account, the family and everything in it is deleted with them.
We may end or suspend access if these terms are breached.
To the extent permitted by law, CoCoParent is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data beyond our reasonable control, or for decisions taken on the basis of information recorded in the app. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States.
We may update these terms. Where changes are material we will make them visible in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use CoCoParent after that means you accept the updated terms.
